What We Offer

Lessons, Triaining, and Events will be temporarily unavailable until Spring of 2024, but please read on to learn more for when we're able to meet you!

Riding and Horsemanship Lessons

Take a look at our Lesson Programs page for more information on what our 2 hour lessons consist of in each level! We are not a cookie-cutter lesson program. While we use a structured system that all of our students will work through from Introductory Course to graduating Level 4, we know that each student has both different goals, and different ways of learning during their process of reaching them! We make sure each students is able to achieve success in whatever is most important to them while tuning into their individual learning styles.

Training

We strive for success without the stress! Training should be a positive experience for both horse and human. It should be based around understanding, patience, play, and progress, not perfection. There is too much force and frustration in the horse world and we want to move away from that while still helping you reach your goals, but not at the cost of your sanity or your horse's well-being! We specialize in behavior problems, basic training, and classical dressage, but can help horses and riders in any discipline.

NEW! Mommy & Me and Tiny Trotters!

We now welcome riders under age 6! Please check out our Mommy & Me and Tiny Trotters page for more information on how we accommodate the little ones!

Camps

We offer summer camps every year, and depending on school district schedules and weather, sometimes Spring and Winter camps as well! See our Camps page for more information and dates!

Group Events and Events for Special Occasions

Have a girl scout or boy scout troop, either ready to earn a badge, or celebrate as a group after cookie season was such a success? Have a birthday where you'd like to actually LEARN to ride and have a safe, educational and FUN ride instead of just taking turns being led around, one at a time? Or do you have a business wanting to find a team building event that's truly unique? We're your place! We regularly cater to all kinds of events like these, and more, and have only had happy groups that often return for round two! See our Group Visits page for more information on what we have to offer!

Romantic Date Rides

What started out as a Valentines Day Special is now available year-round! Have an anniversary coming up, or just want this date to be something out of the ordinary? Or, is it time to propose and you're ready to make this truly memorable? We can help! We love sharing our passion of horses with people in love! See our Romantic Date Rides page(under construction) for more information, or contact us directly!

Team Days

Our program is not just designed for students to show up, ride, and leave. We pride ourselves on building a family-like environment where horse lovers of all ages can find great friendships, and have a place to call their second home. One way we help build this is with our Team Days; either a field trip to a horse-related event or an at home play day where all of the Silver Stirrup students can get together to spend time outside of lessons getting to know one another, and have fun! See our Team Day page for more information!

Practice Days

New! For our dedicated students who don't yet have their own horse but really want to practice what they've been learning on their lessons, this is the BEST opportunity for that! We now offer, normally once per month(check the calendar!) on a Sunday, 1 to 3 sessions available dedicated to focused ride time on one of our amazing school horses. If you're a regular student, talk to your teachers about practice days!

Testing

Within our structured program, we want to make sure we have checkpoints for our students to mark their progress, take notes to look back on and learn from, and make sure information is all sticking along the way! Testing days will be scheduled 1 to 2 times per month. Talk to your teachers for more information on testing through the levels!

Working Student Opportunities

Once again for our dedicated, regular students, we do offer a working student program. There are several requirements to earn this privilege, so talk with your teachers directly if you are interested.
