Our lesson programs are designed to give all students a solid foundation in horsemanship and horseback riding.
Our regular lesson program consists of 2 hour long lessons
Lessons always include...
Getting your own lesson horse out
Grooming, tacking up, and preparing for riding
35-60 minutes of time spent on the horse depending on that lesson's focus
Proper after-care of your lesson horse
Each lesson will also include new information such as safety, psychology, history, health, theory, or other equine information.
An emphasis is always placed on building both the knowledge AND skill to becoming a competent horse person, regardless of the discipline they eventually choose to focus on, as well as a better understanding of and respect for horses, and developing a relationship with each one.

Our Introductory courses are designed to get your feet wet and make sure you're prepared to safely start your riding lessons. This is the best way for all students entering our program to get started! And no big commitments!
Our Level 1 Course is designed to get you comfortable with horses and gain the basics of a solid foundation of Horsemanship, including grooming, balanced riding, controlling the horse independently, and so much more...
In our Level 2 Course, students are now expected to be able to groom and tack up on their own, and ride independently, focusing on trot work, posting, and more. Their level of horsemanship now truly grows as they will learn anatomy, parts of tack, and much more...
The Level 3 Course is designed for the passionate and hard working rider. By now, you have dedicated countless hours to learning about advanced theory and riding skills, and different ways to exercise and care for your horse. Yet there's MORE to learn!
In our highest level course available, students prepare to graduate from our program. With the high standards of Silver Stirrup, we only send our students off with all the knowledge a horse person should have before heading off to show, compete, lease or own a horse, or for some of you, one day embark on the path towards becoming an equine professional.
Facility
We have just settled into our new home facility of Spring Creek Ranch in Modjeska canyon! This is a small, private facility, so our groups and events will be limited, but we are very happy to be here!
Please also be aware that there is no main office at this facility, so there will be no one to speak to about our program or take a payment, if you have not scheduled an appointment ahead of time! The parking is also extremely limited, so please only come to visit us if you have schedule an appointment!

Our beautiful new facility has one riding arena and one round pen, and our own separate area for grooming and tacking up. There are goats, chickens, and cows on the property as well! We are surrounded by nature in beautiful Modjeska Canyon, and it is not uncommon to see deer, rabbits, or even foxes!

We've even had weekly students visit us from San Digeo and Los Angeles!
